My cousin was recently in town and as we were long overdue for some girl talk. She plopped into my bed (as seen above) that I’ve always affectionately called my “clouds” for all the extra layers of fluff and she reveled in the comfort taking a deep breath. After she got comfy, she looked up at my ceiling and said, “You know, I would have never thought to put a chandelier in a bedroom, but now that I see it here, I really really like it and it just… works.”
A lot of times, we think chandeliers are supposed to be stuck only in a dining room canopying a formal table. Oh contraire! Chandeliers can be used anywhere in the house! In my past homes, I’ve had them not just in the dining room, but in our formal living, hanging over our kitchen island, my master closet, over our master tub, and yes, over Stephen and my’s bed. I think my friend Abbey said she counted 9 chandeliers in our Nashville house, ha, but I lost count. A girl can never have too many chandeliers.
The photo above is how I use a chandelier in our very own current bedroom, and below are other examples of beautiful bedrooms who use chandeliers as well. If you have a boring ceiling fan or lighting fixture that doesn’t excite you, I dare you to switch it out and try a lighting fixture that glams up your space to your own preferred style!
The pink lover in me is seriously swooning over this first bedroom below…. And don’t forget to follow more of my decor inspiration over on my Pinterest!
Why just one chandelier? Install one on each side of the bed for an even more dramatic look like this in photo below! And last but not least, can’t install a chandelier in your bedroom? You can trick the eye by using a canvas of a chandelier instead like in this room! (SHOP THIS EXACT CANVAS HERE)
